If you have made it to this site I am sure you have encountered BuzzFeed, the list-centric pop culture site that you and quite possibly many of your friends have reblogged/-posted-/tweeted something from in the last few days (or minutes, that matter).  I never really feel a burning “need” to read anything from them, but when a friend of mine shared one today that we written by a friend of hers, I decided to check it out.  Then I learn that the author is none other than BuzzFeed’s very funny style editor, Julie Gerstein (also an writer/editor at The Frisky), whose work I’ve come across before. In fact just last week I read an incredibly incisive article about the fashion industry and I now realize that she wrote it as well.  You should definitely read it, as the web needs much more writing of this caliber and of this nature.  The status quo must be challenged and there are not enough voices doing it.   But I wouldn’t want Ms Gerstein to stop writing her hilarious take on Gen-X/Millenial culture, like today’s list-as-comedy-routine 77 Thoughts Every Girl Has While Shopping At Urban Outfitters.
