Philadelphia’s Keith Warren Greiman creates art that expresses the sheer oddity and the vitality of life. Upon seeing any of Greiman’s paintings, one immediately gets a sense of how much fun he has making them: bright colors are consistently used, the human and animal creatures that populate are often having fascinating interactions, and he includes details which are often smile-inducing little rewards for thorough observers. Beyond all of the pretty elements to look at in Greiman’s paintings, though, I am most impressed by how well Greiman tells the story of the moment so well in each of his pieces. An artist whose work is not only visually interesting while being downright fun to look at is a tough thing to find but in Keith Warren Greiman, we have exactly that artist. Let’s hope he keeps it up for a long time to come.
