I put my heart into the new EP, I hope someone likes it. I wanted the tunes to be anti-bullying tunes that could maybe help someone to believe in themselves, to not be afraid, and to not give up, and to know that someone out there cares and is looking out for them. So it’s like an angel’s spell to protect them against the unkind people, the dark times, and the self-doubt.

-William Bevan, offering some context for his new Burial EP, Rival Dealer. And I can promise you that the three-track release sounds like this was Bevan’s intention: some straight-forward house beats with the typically phased-out vocals we have come to expect from Burial, along with some of Bevan’s most powerfully used voice-over quotes and repeated lyrics to date.  Do yourself a favor and click on that link.
